Call now for a free no obligation telephone consultation on: 01223 597832 or contact me by e-mail at mlb@melaniebestlawyer.co.uk How I Can Help You I am a solicitor, qualified for over 30 years, who specialises in personally providing independent legal advice about Settlement Agreements, also known as Compromise Agreements. My Settlement Agreement service to employers includes advising them about: * The legal requirements; For other employment services please see my Home Page About Me |
What You Can Expect From Me To the point, prompt advice in plain English. The Cost The employer usually agrees to pay my costs and, if so, wording will be included in the Settlement Agreement about this. In that case, and if you are satisfied with what is in the Settlement Agreement and sign the Settlement Agreement, you will pay me nothing at all. If you are not satisfied and wish me to negotiate the compensation being offered, in my experience your employer will not meet my costs of doing that. Therefore, I will obtain your agreement in writing that you wish me to undertake that negotiation and that I will charge you at my standard hourly rate of £230 plus VAT. The costs paid by your employer will usually cover my negotiating the wording of the Settlement Agreement. However, if the Settlement Agreement needs substantially rewriting I will try to negotiate a higher figure for my costs from your employer. If the employer does not agree to this, I will only make a charge to you if I have discussed and agreed that with you in advance in writing.
